About The Chapter President
Elizabeth Pranov is a passionate grade 12 student at West Carleton Secondary School involved in a wide range of activities both at school and in her community; all sharing a great interest in helping others. Elizabeth shows her spirit by playing on her school’s volleyball and ultimate frisbee teams. She loves having the opportunity to collaborate with different people. Outside of school, she tutors French and engages in various kinds of volunteer work in her community. In her free time Elizabeth also enjoys expanding her creative spirit by painting and by reading to help deepen her understanding of the world. With a passion for health science and healthcare, Elizabeth has a strong belief that every single person deserves to have the chance to be diagnosed and treated, no matter their physical, mental or financial situation and she strives to make this a possibility through her work with the Star of Life Project.

Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth Pranov and I am in my senior year at West Carleton Secondary School. I love traveling around the world and meeting new people so much that last summer I even taught English at a camp in Hungary (which was so cool). Some other hobbies of mine are reading, painting, and I also like playing volleyball and ultimate frisbee. At school, I have been involved with StudCo, Athletics Council, and Link Crew, and now I am so excited about running this amazing club this year! Giving back to my school and my community is something I absolutely love, and I strive to help out as much as I can.

Hi, my name’s Erin Nicholson and I am a grade 12 student at West Carleton Secondary School. Outside of school I am involved in a variety of 4-H clubs and have been for the past 8 years, as well, I play ringette, and I have a part-time job at a pharmaceutical plant. In my free time, I enjoy reading and doing anything outside. Medicine is also something that interests me a lot and I plan on pursuing it later in life. I'm very excited to be able to have this opportunity, learn some new things, and gain leadership skills along the way.

Ahmed Yasib is a grade 11 student at Hillcrest High School with a passion for civics and a strong interest in providing opportunities for students in his community. He combines these interests in his extracurriculars as a leader in his school’s student council where he organizes and runs events and initiatives for students and as a representative of the student senate for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. In the future, Ahmed hopes to study and work in an area using history and loves keeping active and swimming in his free time.

About the Chapter President
Hello! I am Jarred Ken Gaviola, the Founder and President of the Star of Life Philippines from the Philippines. I am a Grade 10 student who loves helping other people and serving my community. I was able to start multiple donation drives including my "Tara, Tulong Tayo" (Come, Let's Help) that helped 200 families in my community and Project Maskara, which I distributed washable face masks that helped more than 500 individuals in my city. I am glad to be part of Star of Life, it gives us great opportunities to make the world a better place and was able to meet many people who also loves helping others and creating change.

Hi, I’m Yuna Chen. I'm a student from Shanghai. I'm an ambassador of the Star of Life program, besides I'm a Grade 11 student. I love life, travel and outdoor sports. I'm good at diving.
